Marsha Edmands
Director

Marsha Edmands is a restaurant, technology, and business transformation advisor and consultant with more than 30 years of experience spanning hospitality, foodservice, distribution, and emerging technology.

Her career began as a change management consultant with Arthur Andersen (now Accenture), but a passion for hospitality led her to the Culinary Institute of America and ultimately into the kitchen, where she worked as the private chef for Jim Carrey. It was Carrey who encouraged Marsha to pursue an MBA, a decision that shifted her career toward the business side of the restaurant industry.

Since then, Marsha has worked across the restaurant ecosystem—from operations and food & beverage leadership to consulting, technology, and enterprise sales—giving her a rare ability to see the industry from both the operator’s seat and the technology provider’s side of the table.

Today, Marsha brings that perspective to Blackthorn, helping companies navigate the realities of the restaurant industry, identify opportunities, and turn technology and strategy into meaningful business results.

Constantly learning, Marsha hold a BBA from University of Houston, attended the Culinary Institute of America, earned her MBA from Pepperdine University, studied Restaurant Revenue Management and Data Analytics 360 at Cornell University earned the Wood Badge — Advanced Leadership Development and, she is currently pursuing a second master’s degree, a Master of Science in Global Retailing, through the University of Houston’s Cullen College of Engineering, Technology Division.
