Nipun Sharma is a visionary leader in the restaurant and food technology sectors, known for his innovative approach to brand development, operational strategy, and emerging technology integration. With over two decades of experience spanning startups, growth-stage ventures, and public companies, he has consistently delivered transformative results in restaurant innovation and scalable concept execution. He is responsible for launching the first fully autonomous restaurant producing freshly made and fully sliced pizzas in partnership with Donato’s Pizza.
Mr. Sharma is currently the CEO and Co-Founder of SJW Robotics (Appetronix), where he leads the development of RoWok™, the first fully autonomous kitchen solution designed to revolutionize the foodservice industry. Through his leadership, Appetronix is redefining what a modern restaurant can be by combining robotics, AI, and operational efficiency into one seamless platform.
Mr. Sharma held executive roles at MTY Groupe Sportscene, Imvescor Restaurant Group, and NGFF Holdings, where he oversaw major brands like Moishes Steakhouse, PF Chang’s, and Baton Rouge. He has also served as a strategic advisor and investor in emerging foodtech startups, bringing cross-functional leadership across brand strategy, retail design, and international franchising.
Mr. Sharma began his career in investment banking with Salomon Smith Barney and Citigroup.
Nipun earned his Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from McGill University.. He remains active in the innovation community as an angel investor and thought leader, with a passion for future-forward restaurant concepts and automation technology.
